Nearly 5,000 Anteaters filled the right-field seats at Angel Stadium of Anaheim on Saturday, May 9, wearing blue-and-gold, limited-edition baseball caps for “UCI Night with the Angels.”

Alumni from three of UCI’s four NCAA championship teams gather for White House celebration
The UC Irvine Libraries invite the campus community, alumni and the public to play AnteaterTag@UCI, a game in which contestants view and describe digital photographs from the Libraries’ Online Archive of UCI History. Participants will enrich what’s known about these historical images from the University Archives and contribute to UC Irvine’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2015.
UCI once again makes its mark on the Summer Olympics, with coaches and alumni athletes joining the U.S. in London.

Crumlich (38th round, Pittsburgh Pirates) and infielder Jordan Leyland (44th round, Tampa Bay Rays).
Undergraduate and tennis standout Kristina Smith comes from an extended family of UCI alumni that includes her grandmother Mary Myers, mother Maria Smith, nine aunts and uncles, and a cousin or two.
