2022 Year in Review – Accolades and honors
A year of groundbreaking growth and accomplishments
University administrators were spotted several times this year in conversation with world leaders on national and global affairs. Chancellor Howard Gillman, for example, met with both Vice President Kamala Harris and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This spring, UCI also sent thousands of new leaders into the world with a commencement ceremony held at Angel Stadium of Anaheim for the class of 2022.
The year marked the eighth consecutive ranking of UCI in U.S. News & World Report’s list of top 10 public universities. In addition, UCI was ninth in both Money’s 2022 “Best Colleges” survey and Forbes’ 2022 determination of “America’s Top Colleges.”
