Olympian named head women's volleyball coach

Paula Weishoff, a three-time Olympian and USA Volleyball Hall of Fame inductee, has been named head coach of the UC Irvine women’s volleyball program. “I’m very excited about this opportunity as UC Irvine has great potential,” said Weishoff. “The university is a strong supporter of the program and I look forward to enhancing the involvement of the students and community.” Weishoff previously was head coach at Concordia University in Irvine, where her teams reached two National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national finals and two semifinals during her five-year tenure.
