International Education Week is Nov. 14 to 18, and the UCI Study Abroad Center is hosting a series of events to celebrate. It’s holding an open house every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 1100 of Student Services II. International foods will be served, and peer and staff advisers will be available to discuss study-abroad opportunities. The University of California Education Abroad Program recently awarded scholarships to seven UCI students in yearlong study-abroad programs. Recipients of 2011-12 Duttenhaver scholarships are Stephanie Dobkin (Spain), Christian Hall (United Kingdom), Pichaya Kositsawat (Spain), Carlotta Pham (Hong Kong) and Michael Karakash (Chile). The Dan Wise Memorial Scholarship for students studying in France went to Kevin Horan and Alexandra Tourje.
