Suellen Hopfer, an associate professor of population health and disease prevention at UC Irvine, has been researching how to best address vaccine hesitancy. … She said more people are likely to trust getting a vaccine from neighborhood clinics and community organizations than a super site because the clinics are able to ease concerns at a personal level. … Hopfer said she’s working with the UCI’s computer science department to create an algorithm to find the [vaccine] misinformation sources to counter it.
