At least some UC schools will go remote for 2 weeks after holidays

Spread of the Omicron variant “is predicted to be especially intense toward the end of December and early January,” UC Irvine Chancellor Howard Gillman said in a letter to his campus community announcing the remote learning period. Classes at the Irvine campus, as well as UC Riverside and UC San Diego, will be virtual Jan. 3 through 14.
