CDC issues urgent health advisory strongly recommending pregnant people get vaccinated against COVID

UCI Health maternal-fetal medicine specialist Dr. Jennifer Jolley discusses the CDC’s Covid vaccine guidance for pregnant women with KTLA. Dr. Jolley and UCI Health colleagues recently published a study that found that COVID-19-positive mothers-to-be were six times more likely to end up in the intensive care unit and 14 times more likely to be intubated compared with pregnant women who didn’t have the virus.
