OC’s COVID-19 hospitalizations tick up, offering hope of leveling off
Andrew Noymer, an epidemiologist and UC Irvine [associate] professor of population health and disease prevention, said he was pleased to see that hospitalizations did not tick up too much. “That’s good, but we’ll still have to see tomorrow and the next week,” Noymer said. “I’m glad it’s not 10 or 12 patients higher like it has been every day, but it’s too early to say what’s really going on based on one day. But I am optimistic we may be groping toward a plateau.”
