Relief and excitement filled a small tent in front of UCI Medical Center’s emergency room where 10 employees got vaccinated. Among the group were nurses, doctors and custodial staff. Staff cheered after every vaccination. “Knowing the fact that vaccine is here, you feel more assured,” said Erik Mara UCI Health respiratory therapist and the second to get the shot. He expressed a relief and hope that many were sharing.
