Higher OC coronavirus case counts lead to new strategy: UCI study

Coronavirus infections in Orange County are seven times higher than previously thought, according to the results of a UC Irvine study released Wednesday. … The UCI study also showed that coronavirus infections were also “greater in Latino and lower-income residents, which we knew because they had a higher positivity rate,” [Orange County CEO Frank Kim] said. … According to UCI, the invasive nasal swab test is the most trustworthy in determining if a person is positive for coronavirus.
