Bebbington, 57, was the first patient enrolled in CHI Franciscan’s clinical drug trial for Remdesivir, a broad-spectrum antiviral drug recently approved for emergency use authorization in the U.S. for patients with severe COVID-19 cases. … In Tacoma, CHI Franciscan’s St. Joseph Medical Center had been approved for a clinical drug trial of Remdesivir.
