Planned Scrapped For Housing Homeless With Coronavirus at Ayres Hotel Near Laguna Woods

The goal was to keep the homeless population who may have caught the virus, but didn’t need a higher level of healthcare, out of nearby hospitals such as Saddleback Memorial Center, where many of the seniors go for other health issues, Paul Leon, CEO of the nonprofit, said last week in explaining the plan. The county has been working with the Illumination Foundation to select five such Orange County locations, one has been identified in Orange near UCI Medical Center.
