UCI ranks as the seventh best public institution of higher education in America for freshman financial aid programs, according to the Student Loan Report. Debt after graduation is one of the country’s most critical economic issues, and UCI is a leader in helping its students understand and manage the cost of college. The Top Public Schools for Freshman Financial Aid Report rates programs offered by 250 public colleges and universities that have been recognized for “distributing the most financial aid to freshman students.” Six of the top 10 schools are in the UC system, including Riverside, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Davis and San Diego, with Rutgers University and the University of Vermont rounding out the list.
