Revel in Peter the Anteater’s new status as Mascot Madness Tournament 2015 winner

Celebrate UCI’s got star power this year – Peter the Anteater.

Voted the National Champion Mascot on Mashable, in conjunction with the NCAA March Madness basketball tournament, Peter has been enjoying a celebrity run with appearances on “Conan” and in print media, including Rolling Stone.

At Celebrate UCI, set for 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, Peter will help dedicate UCI’s first hydrogen-powered bus and will pose for photos with the Jr. Anteater kid’s club at 12:30 p.m. and a youth community group at 1 p.m. He’ll also attend the baseball game against UC Davis, which starts at 1 p.m. The game is scheduled to be televised on ESPN3, giving the much-beloved furry mascot another shot at national attention.
