Organized by the Donald Bren School of Information & Computer Sciences, the Butterworth Product Development Competition promotes the creation of commercially viable technology and products while fostering entrepreneurship among undergraduate and graduate students. Its namesake, UCI alumnus Paul Butterworth, is chief technical officer of AccessG2 Inc. For more information, visit the competition Web page.

Ten teams of UC Irvine students representing various disciplines – including computer science, business and the arts – will present projects to a panel of judges during the final round of the Butterworth Product Development Competition. The ninth annual event began in January with 19 teams and more than 60 students. The top three teams will receive cash prizes.
