UC Irvine News Brief: Health Education Center director appointed to federal agency

Ellen Reibling, Ph.D. ’04, director of UC Irvine’s Health Education Center, has
been appointed a fellow of the U.S. Department of Education’s Higher Education
Center for Alcohol, Drug Abuse & Violence Prevention. As a fellow, she will
help develop safe and healthy environments conducive to learning. Reibling
founded UCI’s Health Education Center in 1990 to promote positive lifestyle
choices. Among its offerings is UCI’s innovative suicide prevention Web site,
