For the first time in its history, UC Irvine baseball is ranked No. 1 in the country in the Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball Division I polls. The Anteaters vaulted to the top spot after sweeping UC Riverside over the weekend; they are 11-1 in Big West Conference play and 26-10 overall. In addition, the men’s volleyball team remains No. 1 in the country after winning the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation regular season title with its victory over Pacific Saturday. This week marks the first time two UCI teams have been ranked No. 1 concurrently.
