Informatics professor recognized for mentor work

Susan Elliott Sim, informatics professor at UC Irvine, has been awarded the 2nd Annual Mentoring Award from the Associated Graduate Students at UCI. The honor recognizes faculty mentors who inspire and guide their students, and whose dedication and commitment to excellence have made significant contributions to their students’ professional development and quality of life. Candidates are nominated by graduate students and recent alumni. Two awards are given each year: one to a tenured faculty member, and one to a non-tenured faculty member. Sim’s award is in the non-tenured category.
