Ayman Mosallam, professor of civil and environmental engineering at UC Irvine’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering, recently received the Outstanding Civil Engineering Faculty Advisor award from the American Society of Civil Engineers. The award is given to ASCE faculty advisers with outstanding records that include ASCE university chapter achievement, contributions to the civil engineering profession and civic involvement. Mosallam’s research focuses on structural and earthquake engineering, including polymer composites, structural health monitoring of bridges and constructed facilities, and seismic repair and rehabilitation.
