UC Irvine doctoral student Justin Erenkrantz was recently appointed president of the Apache Software Foundation, one of the world’s largest and most-respected open-source software organizations. Erenkrantz, an informatics student in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences and an affiliate of the Institute for Software Research, is focusing his studies on software engineering. In addition to serving as Apache Software Foundation president, Erenkrantz also is on the foundation’s board of directors. His forthcoming dissertation is titled “Architectural Dissonance and Harmony in REST-based Applications.”
