Eat This, Not That! Health spoke with Bernadette Boden-Albala, MPH, DrPH, Director and Founding Dean, UCI Program in Public Health who explained what to know about COVID right now and COVID signs to watch out for. … Boden-Albala says, “COVID affects everyone differently, but in general, early symptoms we’ve seen include sore throat, cough, headache, fatigue, and congestion, among others. Symptoms can appear anywhere from two to 14 days after initial exposure, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention research indicates that for Omicron – the dominant strain right now – symptoms tend to develop after three days.”

Judy Tzu-Chun Wu, Professor of Asian American Studies at the University of California, Irvine and Gwendolyn Mink write, “Fifty years ago this June, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 was signed into law. … Congresswoman Patsy Takemoto Mink, a four-term Member of Congress from Hawaii in 1972, played a pivotal role in developing and defending Title IX. Her work, along with that of collaborators in Congress and allies in the women’s rights community, changed the course of history and enabled generations of girls and women to pursue their interests, goals and dreams. … After her death in 2002, the official name of Title IX was changed in her honor to the Patsy T. Mink Equal Opportunity in Education Act.”
