Son of former Shah of Iran to speak at UCI
Reza Pahlavi will talk May 6 on “Iran-U.S. Relations at a New Crossroad,” a lecture sponsored by the Center for the Study of Democracy and the Department of Political Science.
Reza Pahlavi is a political science alumnus of USC and vocal advocate for democracy and human rights. He is the author of “Winds of Change: The Future of Democracy in Iran” in which he presents his vision of a democratic Iran centered on popular sovereignty and self-determination. Pahlavi also is a U.S. Air Force-trained fighter pilot.

Reza Pahlavi will talk on “Iran-U.S. Relations at a New Crossroad,” a lecture sponsored by the Center for the Study of Democracy and the Department of Political Science. Pahlavi is the eldest son of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the former shah whose monarchy was toppled during Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 1979.
