BACKGROUND:  A recent study of Orange County veterans by the USC School of Social Work indicates that only 50 percent of post-9/11 and 30 percent of pre-9/11 veterans work full time. This event is the first in a series of Joint Veteran Talent Reintegration Conferences designed to improve those numbers. UCI is collaborating with PIMCO, the Orange County Forum, the Orange County Community Foundation, the Veterans Legal Institute, Military Connection, the Orange County affiliate of the National Human Resources Association and others on the series.
