Campus to host 21st Celebration of Teaching event

UC Irvine will honor outstanding instructors at the 21st annual Celebration of Teaching event, to be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Student Center. Awards will be distributed to individuals competitively selected by the Academic Senate Council on Student Experience, based on nominations by faculty and students. Monetary prizes are provided by the office of Sharon Salinger (pictured), dean of the Division of Undergraduate Education (Professor & Lecturer of the Year Awards); the Teaching, Learning & Technology Center (TA Development Award); the Graduate Division (Most Promising Future Faculty Awards); and the Office of Information Technology (Instructional Technology Innovation Award). The Teaching, Learning & Technology Center gives all winners engraved plaques and hosts the reception.
