Orange County’s COVID hospitalizations and cases remain stable

Dr. Jose Mayorga, executive director of UCI Health Family Health Centers said, “Here in Orange County, the cases are on the low end and that’s a really good sign.” … [People who are not vaccinated], “Those are going to be the people in the emergency rooms or the hospital after spring break.” … He said the pandemic isn’t over yet. “We are not trying to project doom and gloom on folks, especially now that we have tools available to us, we have rapid home tests, we have vaccinations available to those over the age of 5, those are the things we need to concentrate our energy on.” … Andrew Noymer, UCI professor of public health [said], “I’m not expecting a big wave of hospitalizations in the next four weeks either.”
