At least three OC community colleges starting semester virtual in COVID-19 surge

The colleges opting to start virtually are among several schools around the state whose officials have adjusted their winter plans due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. Some California State University campuses announced Wednesday they will start the semester online and remain virtual for two or three weeks. Last month, several UC schools said they planned to do the same when classes resume this month. UC Irvine started with students learning virtually for two weeks.
