UC campuses may consider remote instruction at start of upcoming term

University of California campuses have the option to shift to remote instruction at the start of the upcoming term in January, systemwide president Michael Drake said in a message to campus chancellors Tuesday. … At least four UC campuses — Irvine, Riverside, San Diego and Santa Cruz — will begin the winter term with remote instruction. Each of those campuses plan to hold classes online for two weeks, beginning Jan. 3, to allow for extensive testing of returning students.
