US prepares to ease international air travel restrictions for vaccinated adults

Limits on travel by the unvaccinated will remain, as the U.S. grapples with its latest wave of infections. According to Dr. Karen Edwards, [professor and] chair of epidemiology at the University of California, Irvine, the updated international travel policies appear to be consistent with scientific evidence. “We still have high rates of infection and hospitalizations in some parts of the U.S. and it is prudent to maintain restrictions on unvaccinated travelers to the U.S. until the situation improves across the country,” Edwards said.
