UC Irvine’s research and testing of the COVID vaccine was excellent. This article “Taking a crash course in science” March 19, represents excellent, creative reporting. The readers were given the background on UC Irvine’s years of research, cooperation with other research groups and the testing of their vaccine on 10,000 people. We Americans should be proud of the scientific community’s speedy breakthrough on such an amazing vaccine.
