Orange County breaks record for daily COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations

UCI Health is one of the first three hospitals that the OCHCA said is approved to get mobile field hospitals. The mobile hospitals, which are expected to be set up Monday, include heavy-duty canvas tents with temperature-control units and equipped with running water, toilets, showers, generators, lighting and air purifiers. The mobile field hospital at UCI Health will add 50 beds to help expand its ICU capacity. Those beds will likely be in even higher demand in the coming days.
