Another three months of a Los Angeles lockdown is unsustainable

Speaking to The Guardian more than a month before today’s Los Angeles lockdown announcement, Andrew Noymer, associate professor of public health at the University of California, Irvine, predicted that the stay-at-home order would be extended well into the summer. He also said that residents need to “manage their expectations better,” and that there was a chance the lockdown could continue until a vaccine was developed.
