7 O.C. nursing homes and 2 care facilities report coronavirus deaths

The county has said it is testing all patients in centers where there are two or more infections. The county is also offering to test all staff at those facilities. CalOptima, which administers health insurance for low-income residents, said Friday it is working with UC Irvine and the county’s Health Care Agency to provide training on infection control to staff in the county’s nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
