34 UCI students win Graduate Research Fellowships
UCI’s Department of Chemistry has received nine Graduate Research Fellowships from the National Science Foundation – among 34 bestowed campuswide and 2,000 nationwide. Another two fellowships went to the Department of Earth System Science, also in the School of Physical Sciences.
UCI’s Department of Chemistry has received nine Graduate Research Fellowships from the National Science Foundation – among 34 bestowed campuswide and 2,000 nationwide. Another two fellowships went to the Department of Earth System Science, also in the School of Physical Sciences. Additional UCI units with GRF recipients include anthropology, ecology & evolutionary biology, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical engineering, statistics, education, microbiology & molecular genetics, neuroscience, informatics, mathematics, and psychology & social behavior. The highly competitive fellowships provide three years of financial support for graduate study that leads to a research-based master’s or doctoral degree in science or engineering.
