Professor Dean Baker, M.D., longtime director of UC Irvine’s Center for Occupational & Environmental Health, has won the Kehoe Award for Excellence from the American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine for a lifetime of research focused on children’s environmental health, workplace epidemiology, and stress as a factor in cardiovascular disease and immune function. “I am honored to be recognized by my peers in the leading professional society for occupational and environmental medicine in the United States,” Baker said. “This award highlights the excellence of our faculty and our academic and research programs at the center, which I have had the privilege to lead for the past 20 years.”
