UC Irvine has made the U.S. College Database’s list of 50 public universities with the best lifetime return on investment. The campus is ranked 19th, with alumni reportedly earning an average of $483,300 more over 30 years than those without a degree. The U.S. College Database/OnlineCollegesDatabase.org uses data sets from the federal government and the Carnegie Foundation to provide educational information to libraries, high schools, career centers, students and parents. The organization publishes an annual list of public postsecondary institutions whose graduates enjoy the largest earnings gap compared to non-degree holders.
