“Engage UCI” is organized by UCI’s Committee on Community & Civic Engagement. Its goal is to celebrate and encourage campus-community partnerships.

UCI’s Community Outreach Partnership Center, Division of Undergraduate Education, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Center for Service in Action, Paul Merage School of Business, Office of Community & Government Relations, and Graduate Division, along with the UC Asian American & Pacific Islander Policy Multi-Campus Research Program, have provided support for “Engage UCI.”

Marketing Basics for Nonprofit Organizations: Diane Sagey, executive director of marketing/communications & alumni relations at The Paul Merage School of Business, and Keith Yeung, the school’s marketing manager, will teach members of community and nonprofit groups the basics of branding and cost-effective marketing. Breakfast will be served.

Community organizations and UCI students, faculty and staff will celebrate research, teaching/learning and service collaborations at “Engage UCI.” The event includes a volunteer and internship fair linking students with community groups, as well as presentations about jointly conducted projects. In addition, experts in UCI’s Paul Merage School of Business will lead a workshop on marketing basics for nonprofits, and an awards ceremony will acknowledge leaders in community engagement.
