April 21 talk about “The New Face of Law Enforcement” is part of OEOD’s Campus Conversations Series.
Sandra Hutchens is the 12th Orange County sheriff and first female to head the department. She supervises 3,800-plus sworn and professional men and women who provide patrol services to more than 700,000 county residents, in addition to overseeing area harbors, John Wayne Airport and the Orange County Transportation Authority. Hutchens also manages the nation’s eighth-largest jail system.
