Water expert Pat Mulroy will speak on “Climate Change and the American West: Can We Adapt?” at the second annual Women in Water seminar Wednesday, May 13. Hosted by the UC Irvine Urban Water Research Center, the lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with women in water-related fields. Mulroy (pictured) oversees operations of the Las Vegas Valley Water District and the Southern Nevada Water Authority. The event is 5:30-7 p.m. at The Arnold & Mabel Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences & Engineering. It’s free and open to the public.
