The National Institutes of Health has awarded UCI $1.2 million to fund graduate students in the mathematical & computational biology “gateway” year into the Ph.D. program.
The award provides five years of additional support to the biologists, mathematicians, physicists, engineers and computer scientists who collaborate in pursuit of a more comprehensive and accurate understanding of complex biological systems.
