Mellon Foundation to produce “Documenting War,” a yearlong “Sawyer Seminar” that will explore the genres, rhetoric and real effects of wartime documentation and postwar reflection, as carried out by journalists, soldiers, civilians and artists in verbal, visual and mixed-media forms.
